Types Of Stainless Steel Pipe Tube

Stainless steel pipes are divided into ordinary carbon steel pipes, high-quality carbon steel pipes, alloy structure pipes, alloy steel pipes, bearing steel pipes, stainless steel pipes and bimetal composite pipes, cladding material and coating pipes to save precious metals and meet special requirements. There are many kinds of stainless steel pipes with different purposes, different technical requirements and different production methods. At present, the outer diameter range of steel pipe is 0.1-4500mm, and the wall thickness range is 0.01-250mm. In order to distinguish its characteristics, steel pipes are usually classified according to the following methods.

 

Production mode: Stainless steel pipe can be divided into seamless pipe and welded pipe according to production mode. Seamless steel pipe can be divided into hot rolled pipe, cold rolled pipe, cold drawn pipe and extruded pipe. Cold drawn pipe and cold rolled pipe are secondary processing of steel pipe; welded pipe can be divided into straight welded pipe and spiral welded pipe.

 

 

Section shape: stainless steel pipe can be divided into circular pipe and special-shaped pipe according to the section shape. There are rectangular, rhombic, elliptical, hexagonal, octagonal and various asymmetric cross-section pipes. Stainless steel pipe can be divided into equal section pipe and variable section pipe according to the profile shape. The variable section pipes include tapered pipe, stepped pipe and periodic section pipe.

 

Shape of pipe end: stainless steel pipe can be divided into smooth pipe and threading pipe (with threaded steel pipe) according to the status of pipe end. The threading pipe can be divided into ordinary threading pipe (for low-pressure pipes such as water and gas transmission, ordinary cylindrical or conical pipe thread connection) and special threading pipe (for oil and geological drilling pipes, special thread connection is used for important threading pipes). For some special pipes, in order to make up for the influence of thread on pipe end strength, the pipe end is usually thickened (internal thickening External thickening or internal and external thickening).

 

Application classification: stainless steel pipe can be divided into oil well pipe (casing, oil pipe and drill pipe, etc.), pipeline pipe, boiler pipe, mechanical structure pipe, hydraulic prop pipe, gas cylinder pipe, geological pipe, chemical pipe (high pressure fertilizer pipe, petroleum cracking pipe) and ship pipe, etc.
